Rediscover, Redirect, and Reengage

Wonderful things have happened within my first year in Los Angeles, and more are yet to come. I have been both "spit on", laughed at, and praised during my first stint here in LALA Land (Beautiful film btw). "Failure" is something I have inevitably come to depend on as a friendly reminder that I am and will always be in a continuous state of learning. I find it pivotal that artists also come to understand that in a city filled with individuals, each offering and catering to their own niche (much like myself), that there may be goals or pursuits just out of reach. That for whatever reason, for the time being, those pursuits are more suited to someone else. However, the beautiful counterpart to this ideal is that this idea does not exclude you or I. If passion drives you, a project, subject, or role will eventually be undeniably suited to... (Thats Right) YOU.

I found this circumstance to be true for me in the role of "McKenzie" in my first feature debut in, The Axiom. I resonated with the role and genre (Horror) more than I have with any other role since moving to Los Angeles. I never anticipated such a strong connection to the horror genre or the nature of this character, so I was caught quite off guard. Needless to say, it was undeniable. The people, memories, and experiences I endured while playing McKenzie have altered me internally both as a person and and actress. Timing is truly everything. If one solid month of shooting can make me as happy as I am today, I'm looking forward to what the future holds. No more lingering questions, I'm right where I want to be.

Huge thank you to Nicholas Woods and Max Landwirth for constantly seeing through my sassy sarcasm and giving a girl the chance to live her dream. #AxiomCrew #BestCrew
